Welcome to RPGUniversity.
Here, we look to give you an education. It’s a simple, comprehensive and (most importantly) fun method of personal development – through the medium of RPG.
At RPGUniversity, we hope to encompass all forms of the RPG (or Role Playing Game), no matter how you like to spend your time – from playing Dungeons and Dragons on tabletops, to vanquishing enemies in online games like World of Warcraft. Even the most recent PC and console release titles are taken care of – we’ll dedicate time to such wonderful pieces of RPG theatre as The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, or the Fallout series.
If you’re a first-timer, don’t be put off. This blog assumes no prior knowledge of roleplaying games, and is aimed at anyone who has ever given RPGs a go. Whether you’re a battle-hardened adventurer of the Nentir Vale, or a milk-drinking newcomer to the town of Whiterun, there’s something happening here for you.
First and foremost, I should say that this is not a self-help blog. Think of it more as self-improvement. Secondly, we believe that there’s ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, 100 PER CENT NOTHING WRONG with playing roleplaying games. When you undertake your RPGUniversity degree, I won’t waste time telling you how to play fewer roleplaying games. Instead, I’ll tell you how to use what you’ve learned from roleplaying games to be more effective and efficient in everyday life.
With that all said and done, it’s time to crack open the vault door and learn some lessons about the radiation-riddled, post-apocalyptic world that the internet has dubbed… “RL”.
**SPOILER ALERT**
There will be times where I shed an uncomfortable amount of light on exactly how RPGs are developed. If you’d rather stay blissfully unaware to these morsels of information, be wary! On the other hand, if you’re a budding Dungeon Master or even just the type to order special-edition DVDs and BluRays for the special behind-the-scenes bits, you’ll find yourself right at home.
